The battery went in just as it should, and for the heck of it I turned on the computer and it was almost fully charged. That is great service. I closed it down again to fully charge the battery - probably more so I can avoid balancing my checkbook until tomorrow.

When the battery goes in, it will not lock in place so the unit (Dell 7510) WILL NOT POWER UP, ENVEN WITH THE 120V power supply in place.
